Welcome to The Braid Lounge. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website (thebraidlounge.com), services, products, and Academy offerings (collectively, “Services”). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

By using our site or services, you affirm that you are at least 18 years old (or of legal age in your jurisdiction) and capable of entering into binding agreements. If you disagree with these Terms, please do not use our Services.

3. Services Offered

The Braid Lounge provides:

  • Salon services (braiding, hair treatments, styling) via appointment bookings
  • Products available for purchase online (hair care items, accessories)
  • Academy courses, eBooks, videos, and digital content for learning braiding techniques

We may also provide additional features, such as email newsletters, community features, or live chat support.

4. User Accounts & Registration

  • To access certain features (Academy, purchase history, etc.), you may need to create an account.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your password and account credentials.
    You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account or security breach.

5. Purchases, Payments & Subscriptions

  • All payments are processed via secure third‐party payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal).
  • Prices, fees, and availability of products and courses are subject to change without prior notice.
  • If you enroll in a subscription or recurring payment plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on the recurring schedule until you cancel.
  • You can cancel a subscription at any time through your account settings; cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

6. Refunds & Returns

7. License & Intellectual Property

All content, design, logos, text, images, tutorials, and materials on the site (“Content”) are our property or licensed to us.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, display, or create derivative works from the Content without our prior written consent.

8. User Conduct & Prohibited Activities

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless The Braid Lounge and its affiliates, employees, agents, and partners from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, without notice, for violation of these Terms or for any reason.
  • Upon termination, all rights granted to you will cease.
  • We may delete or block your account and refuse future access.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state/province in which The Braid Lounge is headquartered (e.g. Virginia, USA).
  • You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located within the relevant jurisdiction to resolve any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable or invalid, that portion will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining terms will remain in effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy and Return & Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and The Braid Lounge regarding your use of our Services, superseding any prior agreements.
