To ensure the best results:
At The Braid Lounge, our braid lengths are measured by where the braid stops, not the total extension length.
Once dipped and sealed, the finished braids will extend a few inches longer.
Right at the shoulders
Around the middle of your back, where your bra clasp sits
Around your natural waistline — where your body bends, not your hips
Below the waist, around the top of your hips
Just above the tailbone
Note: Actual finished length will appear slightly longer once ends are sealed and dipped.
We carry a wide variety of braid colors — far more than what’s shown in our color chart.
The image to the right is just a sample of popular shades, but we have additional colors available in-store.

If your hair isn’t fully prepped, we offer professional wash and detangling services to help get you ready for your braid service.
Shampoo + blow dry (no detangling).
Full wash, light detangling, and blow dry. Perfect for light tangles or minor buildup.
Cleansing service for clients with existing braids or protective styles. Includes shampoo, under-dryer drying, and light scalp care (no detangling or blow dry).
30 min – 1 hr full wash, deep detangling, and blow dry.
1 – 1.5 hrs full wash, deep detangling, and blow dry.
1.5+ hrs for heavy matting, knotting, or buildup. Full wash, deep detangling, and blow dry.
Note: Your stylist will assess your hair at check-in and recommend the correct level of detangling based on your texture and condition.
